I remember this from like 8th grade i think he was the man who people shunned because he was poor. Though he predicted that the germans were going to attack them but no one listened to him because he was poor.
moshe the beadle was the man who tried to warn every one in the very beginning that something terrible was going to happen, he was taken to a field in the middle of nowhere and people were forced to dig their own graves then were shot in front of them so they would fall right in.

I think it represents how adults are very narrow minded and children aren’t because elie understood him and talked to him.

He somehow managed to get away and when he returned to tell his story, no one believed him.
