Un computer che si piazza in mezzo tra la serie consumer e quella pro, con caratteristiche molto interessanti di portabilità basate sul peso ( 1,36 kg) e sullo spessore che varia a seconda della configurazione scelta (da 0,4 a 1,94 cm).
Le versioni sono sostanzialmente due e si differenziano, oltre che per una leggera differenza di processore, nel sistema di archiviazione dati che può essere con un “tradizionale” hd o con i nuovi hd allo stato solido. Inutile dire che la differenza di costo tra i due modelli è notevole, ma trovo che sia molto interessante vedere come si comportano i nuovi hd solidi, visto che il loro basso consumo di energia e la velocità di accesso ai dati li candidano ad essere il futuro del settore portatile.
Mettiamoci inoltre il cuore in pace e iniziamo lentamente a dire addio ai supporti ottici, siano cd o dvd… Apple infatti già molto prima di chiunque altro aveva rimosso il floppy dalle sue macchine, prevedendo che sarebbe stato eliminato come supporto e sembra che lo stesso stia facendo con i lettori cd dvd, proprio nel mezzo della lotta tra hd dvd e blu ray disc….

mh… bello un portatile da 0,4 ma mi sa ci vorranno ancora minimo 5 anni per averne uno… se leggi le specifiche bene lo spessore varia da 0,4 a 1,94cm ma nn centra niente la configurazione….
